IN MEMORY OF: Mary Ruth Wood Gillock
|
Mary Ruth Wood Gillock, age 85, of Scottsville, formerly of Monroe County,
passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Center in Scottsville.
She was born
in Monroe County, KY on December 1, 1926 to the late Grady C. Wood and Lou Della Billingsley Wood. She was a homemaker,
a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church, a member of the Democratic Womens Club and Scottsville DAV Chapter. She was
united in marriage on May 19, 1945 to Jimmie Clayton Gillock, who preceded her in death on September 2, 2011.
She
is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Danny Royce and Paula Gillock of Scottsville, KY, two daughters and sons-in-law:
Brenda Sue and Toby Moore of Scottsville, KY, Janice Carolyn and Dirk Miller of Bowling Green, KY, 6 grandchildren and 7 great
grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Wood.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville with burial to
follow in the Fountain Run Cemetery in Fountain Run.
Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Thursday at Strode Funeral
Home in Scottsville.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
