Ruby Evelyn Holland

Ruby Evelyn Holland, age 78, of Fountain Run, passed away Thursday at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

She was born in Monroe County, KY on September 20, 1931 to the late Raymond Lee and Lula B. Ford Lee. She was a retired teachers aid and secretary for the Monroe County Board of Education and a member of the First Baptist Church in Fountain Run, KY. She was married to Lonnie Ray Holland. They were married on September 7, 1949.

She is survived by her husband: Lonnie Ray Holland of Fountain Run, KY, one daughter: Janet Holland Johnson of Scottsville, KY, four grandchildren: Andi Holland Johnson of Lexington, KY, Lee Douglas Johnson of Warsaw, KY. Olivia Nicole Chestnut of Richmond, VA and Kevin Anthony Chestnut and wife Ashley of Clarksville, TN.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter: Stephanie Holland.

Funeral services will conducted Saturday, March 13 at 3:00 PM at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial in the Neal Cemetery in Monroe County.

Friends may call at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel after 3:00 PM on Friday.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Sunrise Children’s Services.
