Crowe Rouse

Norvella Crowe Rouse, age 88, of Tompkinsville, passed away Friday, May 3,
2013 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.
She was born October 15, 1924 in Hammond, IL to the
late Claude Crowe and Dora Netherton Crowe. She was a retired cook and cafeteria manager for Monroe County School System and
Monroe County Medical Center. She was a long time faithful member of Freedom #2 Missionary Baptist Church, being saved at
the age of 17. She was united in marriage on August 17, 1940 to Elder Paul Rouse in Elizabethtown, KY, who preceded her in
death on March 30, 2009. After retirement she and her husband owned a small country grocery store. She loved making
and selling quilts and also making fried pies for the Roller Coaster Yard Sale.
She is survived by one son and
daughter- in-law: Jerry and Mary Rouse of Lebanon, TN, three daughters and two sons-in-law: Margie and Floyd White of Tompkinsville,
Barbara and Jimmy Burnette of Tompkinsville, Delores Burnette of Huntsville, AL, 7 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren
2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers:
Willard, Basil and James Crowe, a grandson: Floyd Daniel White and a granddaughter-in-law: Carmen Burnette.
Funeral
services will be conducted Sunday, May 5 at 3:00 PM at Freedom #2 Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Freedom #2 Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and after 7:30 AM on Sunday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
Memorials are suggested to the Freedom #2 Cemetery.
