Zelma Belle Jackson Bacon

Zelma Belle Jackson Bacon, age 93, of Tompkinsville passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at

the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.

She was born in Monroe County, KY on April 30, 1917 to the late Vada Carnahan Jackson and John Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She was the widow of Rex D. Bacon who died February 18, 1994.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Gay and Brian Reagan of Tompkinsville, KY, one brother: Ezra Jackson of Glasgow, KY, four grandchildren: James Harlan Miller, Dustin and Ryan Sullivan and Jonathan Reagan, three great-grandchildren: Weston and Chance Miller and Michael Reagan.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers: Denton, Printas and Clinton Jackson, and two sisters: Ruby Birge and Myrtle Chandler.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 27 at 2 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the White cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 PM on Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville

Family request memorial contributions be made to the White Cemetery or to the Friendship Baptist Church
