IN MEMORY OF:
Anthony W. "Tony" Aemmer

Anthony W. "Tony" Aemmer, 62, passed away at his birthplace on Thursday, March 11, 2010 surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.  Tony retired from DuPont Chemicals in Louisville, Kentucky and served as a firefighter on the New Albany Fire Department for seven years.  He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where he was a Bible study group leader and implemented Catholics Returning Home.  With his wife, Carol, he initiated the "Together with Jesus" Couples' Prayer program at OLPH.  Tony was instrumental in the planning and renovating of OLPH's Wagner Hall, and his presence is visibly felt in the craftsmanship and cabinetry throughout the church. He was an active member of the Cursillo Movement at Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality.  Tony was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693.  He wore the Franciscan Cross and desired his family to accept the Holy Spirit and Jesus as their Friend and Savior.

Tony was born on May 5, 1947 in New Albany to the late William A. and Helen Anne (DeVore) Aemmer.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, William Aemmer and his sister, Barbara Black.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Carol A. (Marks) Aemmer; children, Laura Toler of New Albany, Holly Aemmer and her wife, Edith McCawley-Aemmer of New Albany, Tony Aemmer and his wife, Dorota of New Albany, Michelle Miles and her husband, David of Floyds Knobs, Mark Bennett and his wife, Emily Nicholson of New Albany, Mark Aemmer and his wife, Jill of New Albany, and Matt Bennett and his wife, Molly Cook of Beloit, Wisconsin; and 12 grandchildren.

Survivors include his sisters, Pat Stone and her husband, Nelson of New Albany, Donna Condra and her husband, Jack of Memphis, Indiana, Marggie Kannapel and her husband, Wilbur of Georgetown, Indiana, and Cathy Lou Sowders and her husband, Larry of Corydon, Indiana; brothers, Robert Aemmer and his wife, Barbara of New Albany, and Richard Aemmer and his wife, Kathy of Floyds Knobs; sister-in-law, Linda Aemmer; and brother-in-law, Dick Black of New Albany.

Visitation will be 11 AM to 8 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at SCI Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.  

Contributions in Tony's memory may be made to the Cursillo Movement at Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality or Catholics Returning Home at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

IN MEMORY OF:
Connie Lynn (Wilson) Corn Sheckells

Connie Lynn (Wilson) Corn Sheckells, 62, of New Albany passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010.  She was a member of the Heartland Church of the Nazarene in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.  She had worked at the New Albany Tribune and Evening News, as well as the New Albany/ Floyd County School Corporation. Connie was a avid reader and loved to travel.

Connie was born on February 28, 1948 in New Albany.  She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Corn and Vern Turner and father, Raymond C. Wilson.

Connie is survived by her mother, Darolene J. (Stroud) Wilson; brothers, Alan Wilson and his wife, Roxanne of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Jeff Wilson and his wife, Tina of New Albany, Indiana; sisters, Diana Parsley and her husband, Daniel of Sellersburg, Nancy Martin and her husband, Gordon, and Debbie Donan and her husband, Larry, all of New Albany; three nieces; and five nephews.
 
Visitation will be 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).  Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Monday, March 15, 2010 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at Generations Funeral Home with burial to follow in Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.

IN MEMORY OF:
Mary E. (Boesing) Owen

Mary E. (Boesing) Owen, 87, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.  Although most of her life was devoted to raising her children, she later worked at the Charlestown Army Ammunition Plant.  From there, she enjoyed many years of working at Stumler Orchard where she conducted educational tours for groups of children and enjoyed chatting with customers in the produce shop.  Mary was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight, Indiana. 

Mary was born on November 27, 1922 in Floyds Knobs, Indiana to the late William and Elizabeth (Book) Boesing.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson "Red" Owen, Jr.; son, David Owen; grandson, David Owen, II; siblings, Bernard Boesing, Ruth Gelthaus, William Boesing, Jr., Ursula Boesing, and Elizabeth Boesing.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Owen and his wife, Alanna of Arroyo Grande, California, Nelson Owen, III and his wife, Betty of Sellersburg, daughter-in-law, Arnetta Croxall Owen of New Albany, Bette Buechler and her husband, Larry of Floyds Knobs, Bernie Owen and his wife, Mary of Starlight, and Mary Jude Blair of Clarksville; grandchildren, Catherine Sclimenti, Kenneth Owen, Keri Owen, Cynthia Carter, Sara McClish, Dianne Owen, Matthew Owen, Jeffrey Owen, Joey Owen, Michael Owen, Laura Young, Paula Meunier, Danny Owen, and Adam Owen; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Joe Boesing, Blanche Finn, Annette Chamberlain, Colette Zumstein, Marty Renn, and Margaret Stubblefield.

Visitation will be 11 AM to 8 PM on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and burial to follow in the church cemetery.  

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.

Betty (Leist) Busing

Betty (Leist) Busing, 78, formerly of New Albany, Indiana passed away on January 14, 2010 at her home in Madison, Alabama after a rather lengthy illness.  Betty graduated from New Albany High school in 1949 and from St. Joseph School of Nursing in the early 1950's. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Amelia (Banet) Leist; her brother, Billy Leist; and her stepbrother, Bob Leist. 

Betty is survived by her husband, Donald V. Busing of Madison, AL; six sons, Gregory Busing and his wife, Linda of Lenexa, KS, Wayne Busing and his wife, Sherry of Glasgow, KY, Douglas Busing and his wife, Denise of Trinity, AL; Paul Busing and his wife, Darlene of Madison, AL, Terry Busing and his wife, Allison of Franklin, TN, and Patrick Busing and his wife, Wendi of Decatur, AL; daughter, Donna Jo Busing of Decatur, AL; sister, Rose Mary Leist of New Albany; brothers, Jim Leist of New Albany and Danny Leist of Clarksville; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany).

Bonnie L. Coyle, 64, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bonnie was born on April 10, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Lewis H. and Lucy Mae (Montgomery) Coyle.  She is also preceded in death by her sister, Pamela S. Burk.  She is survived by her sister, Leanne Vissers and several nieces and nephews.

Steven Ray Foster

Steven Ray Foster, 43, of Greenville, Indiana died on Friday, February 19, 2010 in a traffic accident in Greenville, Indiana.  Steve graduated from Floyd Central High School in 1984 and from Indiana University with a BA in Psychology and a BS in Business.  He was a realtor for Keller Williams Realty and coached youth basketball at Cornerstone Community Church and football in Greenville.  Steve was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who was a passionate advocate for special needs children. 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Deik Foster; grandmother, Violet Sands; and father-in-law, Tom Currin.

Steve is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kara Anne (Currin) Foster; children, Madison, Zachary, and Joshua Foster; parents, George "Wayne" Foster of Greenville and Nancy G. (Sands) and Fred Rice of Georgetown, Indiana; brothers, Paul Foster and his wife, Patricia of New Albany, Indiana and Joe Young, Jr., and his wife, Laura of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; sisters, Tricia Baker and her husband, Tim of Greenville, Indiana and Amy Fell and her husband, Sam of Ramsey, Indiana; grandmother, Joyce Rice of Louisville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Mary Pat Currin and Karen Barksdale; and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).  The Funeral Service will be at 11 AM Wednesday, February 23 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at Generations Funeral Home.

Oleita A. (Cook) Norton, 63, formerly of New Albany, Indiana passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Hospital on February 19, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee.  With her husband, she was co-owner of Commercial Real Estate Services of Nashville; and both resided in Franklin, Tennessee.

Oleita is survived by her husband, Orville Norton of Franklin, Tennessee; her mother, Joann Yost of New Albany, Indiana; her daughter, Noelle Kirk and her husband, Ron of New Albany; her son, Andy Nicholson of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Debbie Hosier and her husband, Doug, and Vicki Hamilton and her husband, Jerry, all of New Albany; brothers, Phillip Cook and his wife, Julie of New Albany and Frank Cook, and his wife, Margo of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Dalton and Landen Kirk; 12 nieces and nephews; and 14 great nieces and nephews. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM Monday, February 22, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).  The Memorial Service will be at 11 AM Tuesday, February 23 in the Paul F. Catherine Cecilia (Wills) Nally

Catherine Cecilia (Wills) Nally, 74, of Georgetown, Indiana passed away Saturday morning, February 13, 2010 at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany, Indiana.  Catherine was an avid bingo player and loved to watch nature.     

Catherine was born on November 8, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Fred and Mamie (Wathen) Wills.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. (Bill) Nally; sisters, Rose Meyers and Mary Wills; and brothers, Tommy, Clifford, Richard, and Raymond Wills.

She is survived by her children, Jonathan Nally and his wife, Novanna of Georgetown, Indiana, Cynthia Miller and Danny Mullins of Corydon, Indiana, Sean Nally and his wife, Debbie of Corydon, Indiana, Angela White and Steve Forman of New Albany, Indiana, Mike Nally and his wife, Teresa of Lanesville, Indiana, Vince Nally of Georgetown, Indiana, and her daughter, Joy, whom she held close to her heart; and grandchildren, Sean, Shane, Casey, Jeremy, Charissa, Christopher, Nichole, Josh, Kevin, Danielle, Tyler, Natalia, Abbey, Kyle, Kaylie, Mariah, and Peggy Jean. 

Her wishes were to be cremated.  A graveside service will be held at a later date.  Generations Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dolores June (Lier) Bulleit

Dolores June (Lier) Bulleit, 99, of New Albany, Indiana passed away peacefully at home Saturday afternoon, February 6, 2010.  Dolores was a graduate of the Music School at the University of Minnesota and was a trained concert pianist.  She had a passion for the theatre, opera and music.  Dolores was also a member of the Silver Hills Alpha Club, Kentucky Opera Association and a life-long member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in New Albany.
 
Dolores was born on June 14, 1910 to the late Emil Hjalmar and Rosalie (Dahlheim) Lier in Casselton, North Dakota.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bulleit and her daughter, Cynthia Lier Townsend.
 
She is survived by her grandchildren, Stephen Townsend and his wife, Sheila, of Mt. Eden, Kentucky and Laura Townsend and her husband, Jeff Schneidtmiller of Shelby County, Kentucky; brother, Phillip Tyler Lier of Loveland, Colorado; great grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Amanda and Tiffany; and great great grandchild Hunter.

Visitation will be held from 3 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and after 10 AM Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  Her Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with entombment to follow at SCI Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Stephanie R. "Boo" (Moore) Frank, 44, of New Albany, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010 at her residence.  Stephanie was a loving mother, sister, and Mawmaw.

She was born on May 23, 1965 in Los Angeles, California to the late Lester Lee and Shirley Mae (Kopp) Moore.  She is also preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Reid, and brother, Brian Moore.

Stephanie is survived by her daughters, Brandy N. Roller and her husband, Rodney, and Ashley B. Boule and her husband, Carl, all of New Albany; brother, Mark Moore of New Albany; sisters, Dana and Denise Moore, both of New Albany; and grandchildren, Shane Roller, Kirsten and Alexys Boule, Gavin Roller, and Alyvia Boule; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana).  The Funeral Service is 11 AM on Friday, January 29 in the Paul F.
