David, Julie and Tyler Barnes

I was born and raised in Delta, along with my two brothers, George Jr. and Michael, by our parents, George Sr. and Betty (Eberly) Barnes. My wife Julie (Lytle) Barnes is from McComb, OH. She was a graduate of Liberty Benton High School and Mount Vernon Nazarene College. After graduating from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, I served families in Columbus for several years with one of the largest funeral homes in Ohio. Having worked for a funeral home with multiple locations, I quickly realized there are benefits to being large, but also many potential drawbacks. The areas most affected are the lack of personal service, inattention to detail, and families being treated like they are just another number. My goal and ambition was to someday return to my hometown, and provide the area with a modern funeral home that would exhibit the caring service they deserve. On April 7, 2004, with God’s grace and guidance, we made the vision a reality. In 2006 we celebrated the birth of our first child, Tyler Lynn.
